We are looking for an ambitious and driven Assistant Product Manager to join our Software team. This is a role for someone who is ready to step up: a recent graduate or early-career professional who has demonstrated the ability to lead, communicate with clarity, and bring creative thinking to real delivery challenges.
The Company: At The Config Team, we’re not a typical corporate consultancy, and we’re not a generic SAP/IT Consultancy. We are experts in SAP supply chain, and we do it exceptionally well. With 30+ years of experience and our own suite of products (like PreBilt™ for EWM), we help global brands create smarter, faster, more resilient supply chains. Each project we deliver is different from the next. We can offer an environment that brings a variety of projects at the forefront of modern supply chain solutions.
What You’ll Do: You will be the glue that holds innovation teams together - running sprint ceremonies, facilitating workshops, eliciting and translating requirements, maintaining roadmaps, and keeping multiple stakeholders aligned. This is enablement for our delivery teams and our partner teams to allow them to better support their customers. You do not need to arrive with every skill already mastered. We are looking for someone who is intuitive and likes to broaden their learning. A candidate who enjoys building relationships and has the ability to take the initiative.
Required Skills:
- Already have acquired a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or closely related technical or design discipline such as Psychology.
- A valid UK driving license.
- Demonstrable experience of working in an Agile methodology environment using initiatives such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Experience of working with products, being part of a project, or conducting business analyst, whether this be from an internship, placement, or professional role.
- A team player who is comfortable to lead when required.
- A grade of 2:1 in a related degree, we would also consider candidates who have obtained a 2:2.
Desired Skills:
- Ideally 1 or 2 years’ experience in Product Management.
- If you don’t have any current Product Management experience then evidence of applying learning beyond the classroom will need to be demonstrated.
- An understanding of initiatives such as Scrum or Kanban would be beneficial but not required.
