About the Role
This is a temporary, fixed‑term contract of one year.
Candidates will work in former coal mining areas of Scotland, based from home with regular site visits and occasional overnight stays.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and suppliers to deliver for the communities served.
- Support or coordinate emergency response activities for incidents such as ground instability, property damage or mining‑related hazards.
- Develop clear and effective scopes of work for the remediation of multiple coal mining subsidence projects.
- Assess risk, coordinate urgent works, and help keep people safe in partnership with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Degree or HND/HNC level in Construction, Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Knowledge and practical implementation of health & safety legislation, particularly CDM 2015.
- Experience with NEC 4 contract administration, procurement routes, tendering, and reporting processes.
- Experience in setting, monitoring, and advising on project cash flows, KPIs, and financial implications.
