We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join our exceptional Nursery team. At The Chadderton, our aim is to inspire and challenge children to love learning. About the Role and You

  • Contract type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Working pattern: 8‑hour shifts to be worked between 7.30 am – 4.30 pm
  • Salary: £12.71 per hour
  • Start date: July 2026

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and supporting children within the Early Years setting, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Supporting children with toilet training, personal care, meal times and daily routines.
  • Assisting the Room Leader with the planning, delivery and assessment of engaging EYFS activities.
  • Observing children’s development and updating Tapestry daily with observations and learning updates.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and carers regarding children’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Ensuring the Nursery environment is clean, organised and resources are stored neatly.
  • Supporting activities and supervising children during Holiday Club sessions and trips.
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, hygiene and health and safety.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
  • Has experience working with children aged 2–6 years.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates initiative and contributes creative ideas to planning and activities.
  • Has strong communication skills and a caring, enthusiastic approach.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
