Key Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • 1–2 years of experience in a cloud infrastructure environment (MSP, consultancy, ISV, or enterprise-level).
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI), with a focus on infrastructure and operations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and leadership across the business.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with a strong understanding of professional services delivery.

Desirable Skills:

  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) or FinOps certification.
  • MS Power BI certification.
  • Experience with IaC tools and scripting (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, YAML, JSON, Python).

Overview:

As a Cloud Optimisation & FinOps Analyst, you will work at the intersection of technology, finance, and DevOps. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients manage, optimise, and future-proof their cloud investments.

Expanded Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support FinOps engagements, delivering actionable insights to optimise cloud spend and budgeting strategies.
  • Analyse cloud usage data and develop reports and dashboards for cost visibility and forecasting.
  • Support DevOps teams in aligning cloud architecture and deployment strategies with FinOps principles.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement cloud governance frameworks, cost controls, and tagging policies.
  • Work on the continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline enhancements to support cost-efficient deployments.
  • Assist in the development and automation of processes to improve infrastructure scalability, observability, and performance.
  • Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews with a focus on improving resilience and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify and advocate for supportability and service improvements across the cloud lifecycle.
  • Deliver Customer Service Plans and provide ongoing support to ensure alignment between service design and operational delivery.
  • Influence internal and client stakeholders on cost-aware DevOps best practices.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and FinOps education to client teams, helping them adopt a self-sustaining optimisation culture.
