The SharePoint/M365 Data Architect will lead the design, implementation, and governance of secure, scalable Microsoft 365 and data platform solutions across Online, On-Premises, and Hybrid environments. The role is responsible for architecting SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft 365 services, driving data security and compliance through DLP, DRM, encryption, and data classification strategies, while supporting the adoption of Microsoft Copilot, AI, and automation technologies. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the successful candidate will ensure solutions are aligned to organisational objectives within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and own enterprise SharePoint and M365 architectures across Online, On-Premises, and Hybrid environments.
- Architect and govern Microsoft 365 solutions including SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Intune, Entra ID, and Power BI.
- Define and implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including DLP, DRM, data classification, and encryption strategies.
- Lead the design and deployment of Power BI platforms and enterprise reporting solutions.
- Drive the adoption and integration of Microsoft Copilot, AI tools, and LLM technologies to enhance business productivity.
- Establish Microsoft 365 architecture standards, governance models, and best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into strategic Microsoft and data platform solutions.
- Provide technical leadership for Microsoft 365 transformation, migration, and modernisation initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency through PowerShell, Power Platform, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, and solution roadmaps.
Must have experience working within fast-paced/private equity-backed environments.
- Design and own end-to-end SharePoint architecture (Online/On-Prem/Hybrid environments).
- Hands-on expertise with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Intune, and Entra ID/Azure AD.
- Design and own end-to-end M365 architecture.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 security and compliance settings.
- Strong complementary data security strategies - Digital Rights Management (DRM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Hands-on in architecting and deploying Power BI.
- Proven experience delivering data projects with built-in security, ensuring end-to-end encryption and data classification.
