Location: Great Yarmouth Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week
Position: Assistant Manager Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a pub, bar, or hospitality management role
The Theatre Tavern is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands‑on Assistant Manager to join our
team.
We are looking for someone who understands the day-to-day running of a busy pub, is confident leading
a team, and can take responsibility when the owner/manager is not on site.
The Role
Booking and organising live entertainment, including liaising with bands, DJs and performers
Organising staff rotas and ensuring the pub is appropriately staffed
Supporting and supervising the bar team
Ordering cleaning products and supplies and ensuring the pub maintains high standards of
Changing beer kegs and gas and dealing with cellar/bar equipment
Assisting with stock control, deliveries and ordering
Helping monitor stock, wastage and overall pub standards
Opening and/or closing the premises when required
Maintaining high standards of customer service, responsible drinking and general safety
Dealing confidently with customer issues and difficult situations
Ensuring staff follow company procedures and licensing requirements
Being a hands‑on member of the team and leading by example
Supporting the owner/manager with the general running and development of the pub.
