The Deputy CEO, Finance & Operations is a senior executive leadership role, working in close partnership with the Chief Executive & Artistic Director and the Deputy CEO, Producing & Programming (who together form TRP’s Executive Team) to ensure the long-term financial resilience, operational excellence and organisational sustainability of Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP).
We need an experienced strategic leader to join our Executive team, to help drive success, continue to develop a clear case for support and help us achieve all our plans for the future. We've recently developed a new Strategic Framework to steer the charity through the next five years. During this time we will deliver a major capital project at our building on Royal Parade. The successful candidate who takes on this role will be instrumental in leading that project.
Role Summary
The postholder will provide clear strategic and operational leadership across finance, governance, capital, human resources, commercial activity and theatre operations, ensuring that TRP operates with financial rigour, creativity and integrity. They will play a critical role in enabling the artistic vision of the organisation by ensuring that robust systems, infrastructure, policies and people are in place to deliver excellence on and off stage.
As a key member of the Strategic Leadership Team, the Deputy CEO, Finance & Operations will help shape organisational strategy, lead a positive and inclusive workplace culture, support and challenge colleagues constructively, and represent TRP externally as an ambassador for its values.
