Charlton Athletic are seeking an Under 18’s Lead Performance Analyst to lead the delivery of performance analysis support within the Professional Development Phase (PDP) Academy programme. Working closely with coaches and multidisciplinary staff, the successful candidate will provide high-quality video and data insight to support player development, tactical understanding, and progression towards the first‑team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead performance analysis provision for the U18 squad
  • Film and code matches and training sessions using Hudl Sportscode
  • Deliver live matchday and half-time analysis support
  • Produce post‑match reviews, KPI analysis, and best‑practice libraries
  • Create and manage individual player development playlists and IDPs
  • Conduct opposition analysis and tactical scouting reports
  • Deliver engaging pre‑match presentations using Hudl Studio and Keynote
  • Collaborate within MDT meetings across coaching, medical, and performance departments
  • Support and mentor placement students and interns

Essential Requirements

  • Undergraduate & Master’s degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, or related field
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience within elite sport analysis
  • Advanced competency with Hudl Sportscode
  • Experience filming and operating camera systems and drones
  • Strong video editing and data visualisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly with young athletes
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
