A great opportunity for this person to deliver high-quality data reporting that supports Insights Analysts, Directors and Coaches in making informed decisions across the Academy. The role ensures Insights Analysts have access to clear, actionable reports and visualisations, enabling efficient and effective analysis. This individual should strengthen the club’s ability to monitor team and individual performance, as well as efficiently track player development.

The position also involves close collaboration with the central data team to integrate new data models into existing and future reporting frameworks, while carrying line management responsibility for a Data Intelligence Analyst.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Data Visualisation
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related).
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Able to write code, in R/Python, to create custom visuals.
  • Experience operating on and building from large datasets.
  • Knowledge of football analytics, performance metrics, and recruitment data, including data providers.
  • Ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills within a high-performance environment.
  • Willing to work unsociable hours around the football schedule to ensure timely delivery of insights throughout the season.
