Newcastle Red Bulls are recruiting a Senior Academy Analyst to lead the delivery of performance analysis across their Academy programme, supporting player development, talent identification, and transition into senior rugby. Working within a high-performance environment backed by Red Bull, the successful candidate will provide innovative analysis support across matches, training, IDPs, recruitment, and pathway development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Academy analysis provision and act as the main point of contact
- Deliver video and statistical reports for players and coaches
- Support Individual Development Plans (IDPs) through detailed insight
- Lead matchday analysis for Academy, loan, and university fixtures
- Support talent identification and recruitment processes
- Manage coding, storage, and archiving of video and data workflows
- Deliver innovative feedback methods and educational support to staff and players
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and first team analysis staff
Essential Requirements
- Experience delivering analysis in elite or professional sport
- Strong rugby union knowledge and understanding
- Experience using Hudl Sportscode, Studio, Tableau or Power BI
- Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills
- Ability to work within fast-paced match environments
- Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable
- Experience within professional rugby environments
- Experience supporting recruitment and talent ID
- Knowledge of long-term athlete development models
