Key Responsibilities
- Match & Tactical Analysis
- Film and code all 1st Team matches (live and post-match).
- Produce pre-match opposition analysis, including:
- Team structure and style of play
- Key players and tendencies
- Set-piece analysis (attacking & defensive)
- Deliver post-match analysis focusing on:
- Team and unit performance
- Key tactical moments
- Individual player feedback
- Training & Performance Support
- Support coaches with analysis linked to the weekly training plan.
- Capture and analyse training sessions when required.
- Provide individual player clips and feedback to support development.
- Live Match Support
- Provide live analysis during matches (coding, tagging, communication with coaching staff).
- Support half-time and in-game feedback with relevant video or data insights.
- Data & Technology
- Use industry-standard software (e.g. Hudl, Sportscode, Wyscout, or similar).
- Maintain an organised video and data archive.
- Integrate video and data to support evidence-based decisions.
- Present analysis clearly to coaching staff and players.
- Work closely with coaching, sports science, and medical staff.
- Contribute to performance meetings and reviews.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in football performance analysis (1st Team or elite pathway).
- Strong understanding of tactics, systems, and game models.
- Proficiency in performance analysis software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays.
- Relevant degree in Sports Performance, Coaching, or Analysis.
- Experience working in a professional or elite football environment.
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistical platforms.
- Coaching qualifications (e.g. FA Level 1β2 or equivalent).
