Varsity Nine are seeking a Football Coach & Development Performance Analyst to join their growing Football & Education and International Programmes.
This unique hybrid role combines on-pitch coaching with performance analysis, supporting player development across training, fixtures, showcase events, international tours, and US College recruitment pathways.
Working closely with the Lead Performance Analyst and coaching staff, you'll help deliver a high-performance environment that develops players and creates life-changing opportunities.
- Coaching & Player Development
- Support the planning and delivery of coaching sessions across the Football & Education and International Programmes
- Assist the technical and tactical development of players during training and matches
- Support matchday preparation, warm-ups, tactical communication, and in-game coaching
- Deliver constructive individual and team feedback using coaching observations and performance analysis
- Help maintain elite coaching standards across all programmes
- Performance Analysis
- Capture and analyse training sessions and fixtures
- Code matches and training using industry-standard analysis software
- Prepare and deliver player video review sessions
- Produce post-match reports, player feedback, and tactical summaries
- Track player KPIs and maintain performance databases
- Manage analysis equipment, video storage, and coding workflows
- Showcase Events & Recruitment
- Support the delivery of showcase events, combines, fixtures, and international tours
- Capture, organise, and code video during live events
- Assist with player scouting reports, recruitment profiles, and highlight videos
- Contribute to player assessments and benchmarking
- Support recruitment staff in identifying players suitable for Varsity Nine pathways and US College opportunities
- Technology & Operations
- Manage GPS systems, Player Data technology, wearable devices, and video equipment
- Ensure performance technology is maintained, downloaded, and integrated into player reporting
- Work collaboratively across coaching, analysis, recruitment, and operational departments
- Travel nationally and internationally to support programme delivery
- Continue developing coaching and analysis knowledge through modern industry practices
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Degree in Sports Coaching, Football Coaching & Performance, Performance Analysis, Sports Science, or a related discipline
- Practical coaching experience within academy, grassroots, college, or high-performance football
- Experience or understanding of football performance analysis, match coding, and video review
- Familiarity with Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Veo, Metrica, or similar platforms
- Video editing and highlight creation skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel regularly for fixtures, tours, and showcase events
- Ability to work daily from Milton Keynes or Bisham Abbey
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- UEFA B Licence (or working towards)
- Professional or semi-professional playing, coaching, scouting, or academy experience
- Experience working at showcase events or tournaments
- Ambition to progress into senior coaching, analysis, or technical leadership roles
