Manchester City are seeking a Goalkeeping Performance Analyst to join their Academy Performance Analysis & Insights team, supporting the development of goalkeepers across the club's academy pathway. Working closely with Academy Goalkeeping coaches and players, this role will deliver bespoke performance analysis, transforming video and data into meaningful insights that support learning, development, and evidence-based decision-making within one of football’s leading academy environments.
Goalkeeper Analysis & Development
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of performance analysis support across the Academy Goalkeeping department
- Code and analyse goalkeeper performance in both training sessions and matches
- Maintain individual player databases and Individual Learning Plan (ILP) action trackers
- Deliver statistical and video-based insights to support technical and tactical goalkeeper development
Reporting & Educational Content
- Design and deliver reports, case studies, presentations, and performance reviews
- Create engaging and age-appropriate educational resources aligned with the club's goalkeeping curriculum
- Produce interactive feedback that enhances player learning and understanding
- Support the creation and maintenance of goalkeeping video libraries and best-practice resources
- Work closely with coaches, analysts, and multidisciplinary practitioners across the academy
- Contribute to player profiling and long-term development decision-making processes
- Support wider Academy analysis projects and data-informed initiatives
- Help evolve innovative analysis methods that support elite player development
Essential Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Performance Analysis, Sports Science, Coaching, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering goalkeeping-focused performance analysis within youth football environments
- Strong understanding of football tactics, goalkeeper development, and player pathways
- Experience using industry-standard analysis technologies for capture, coding, annotation, and presentation
- Knowledge of data management, performance reporting, and the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
- Ability to transform video and data into engaging, actionable learning experiences
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
