We’re looking for a First Team Recruitment Insights Analyst to help shape how we identify and evaluate players at the highest level of the game. This role sits at the heart of Men’s First Team recruitment, blending data, video and football understanding to support informed, forward-thinking decisions. You’ll work closely with recruiters, analysts and performance staff, contributing insight that genuinely influences how the club builds for the future. Your Impact
- Produce clear, insightful recruitment analysis using a blend of data and video to support player evaluation.
- Help develop and evolve scouting frameworks, player profiles and benchmarking tools.
- Track and analyse the progress of loan players and high-potential academy prospects.
- Respond to fast-turnaround recruitment questions with focused, decision-ready insight.
- Work closely with Football Intelligence to translate complex data into practical recruitment outputs.
- Maintain accurate, accessible recruitment databases and analytical resources.
- Collaborate with Performance Analysis to ensure recruitment insights align with the First Team’s game model and tactical approach.
What we are looking for
- A degree in Performance Analysis or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A strong interest in football recruitment and how analysis supports decision-making.
- Confidence using Tableau and video analysis tools such as Hudl Sportscode.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
- A curious, open-minded problem solver who enjoys learning and developing new skills.
- Clear communicator who works well with others and values collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail, organisation and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Flexibility to work hours that reflect the realities of elite football.
Beneficial: Postgraduate study in a relevant area, experience with Piero, Hudl Studio or similar tools, programming experience (e.g. Python), exposure to data science teams or workflows, UEFA C or B Licence.
