The Role

This leadership position is responsible for delivering high‑quality performance analysis that supports coaching, athlete development and strategic decision‑making across the England Netball programme.

Senior Performance Analyst (England Netball) – Maternity Cover

You'll lead the analysis team, oversee analytical projects, collaborate with key stakeholders and help shape the future direction of performance analysis within both England Netball and Loughborough Sport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Analysis Leadership
  • Lead and manage the England Netball Performance Analysis team.
  • Deliver world‑class performance analysis services to coaches and athletes.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate and impactful analytical support across the programme.
  • Lead performance analysis projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Athlete & Performance Support
  • Support the Roses Athlete Assessment process alongside the Pathway Performance Analyst.
  • Produce meaningful analytical insights to enhance coaching and improve performance.
  • Contribute to squad selection through objective performance data and expert analysis.
  • Innovation & Strategy
  • Help shape the long‑term strategy for performance analysis infrastructure, software and technology.
  • Support the development of analysis methodologies and operational best practice.
  • Contribute to commercial partnerships relating to performance technology, including Hudl and Catapult.
  • Develop and deliver continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities for analysts.
  • Build strong relationships with coaches, practitioners and national governing bodies.
  • Foster collaboration across Loughborough Sport and England Netball performance teams.

Applicants should demonstrate

  • Significant experience delivering performance analysis within an elite sport environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with

Hudl and associated analysis platforms.

  • Strong organisational, administrative and time‑management skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and data visualisation.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary performance teams.
  • A sport‑related degree.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Minimum three years' experience as a Lead Analyst within elite netball.
  • Understanding of athlete monitoring systems such as AMS and GPS technologies.
