The main goal of the First Team Assistant Analyst is to support the Head of Analysis in delivering elite-level analysis of team and player performance for Charlton Athletic Women.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and provide live analysis at selected home and away fixtures.
  • Provide in-depth video and statistical analysis for training sessions and matches.
  • Profile upcoming opponents and create detailed dossiers for the coaching staff.
  • Aid in the recruitment process through video analysis and player reporting.
  • Maintain player and team performance databases.
  • Research and implement new technologies to improve the analysis provision.
  • Present compelling video and data content to players and coaches.

Education/Qualifications/Training

A degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis, or a related field is desirable.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge

  • High proficiency with industry‑specific software (e.g., Hudl, Catapult) and data sets (e.g., Statsbomb).
  • Significant experience working within a professional football environment, ideally within elite women's football.
  • Ability to align and adapt processes to the current coaching staff's philosophies.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel with the team.
  • Personal attributes: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information

This is a full-time role that includes work on weekends and evenings. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
