LOCATION: Cobham Training ground – Plus travel to and from fixtures

CONTRACT: Part Time – 10 hours per week (Across Weekdays and Weekends)

The Opportunity

Responsible for the identification of youth players for Chelsea FC Women’s Academy (U9 – U18). This role plays a vital part in ensuring the academy consistently attracts and retains high-potential players who align with the club's values, playing philosophy, player profile and long-term development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build a professional, diverse scouting network across local, regional, and national levels.
  • Attend matches, tournaments, and events to identify potential Academy players across various age groups.
  • Develop strong relationships with grassroots clubs, schools, national team representatives, and other key stakeholders in the women's game.
  • Maintain a structured scouting database with regular updates and detailed player profiles.
  • Attend talent ID events, trials, open sessions and scouting opportunities.
  • Ensure all recruitment activity complies with club policies, safeguarding standards, and national governing body regulations.
  • Work closely with age group coaches, Coaching Lead and Head of Women's Academy, to align recruitment with squad needs and development plans.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Recruitment Lead in line with club policies.
  • Represent the club at relevant meetings, events and talent ID forums.
  • Perform any other duties as required for the Senior Team & Academy.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience in player recruitment / scouting
  • Strong knowledge of female player development pathways and the talent landscape across youth football
  • Valid Driving Licence
  • Talent ID Level 1 – (Essential)
  • Talent ID Level 2 – Advanced Principles (Desirable)
  • FA Safeguarding Qualification
  • FA First Aid Qualification
  • Extensive Knowledge of local grassroots football and geographic regions, including culture, legislation and football markets (Desirable)
