The Football Insights Lead plays a crucial role in leveraging data to drive decision‑making processes across all areas of the Club. This includes, but is not limited to, First Team match analysis, set‑piece analysis, individual player development and player recruitment. The position is integral in developing and implementing data‑driven strategies and models that enhance the team’s competitive edge and regularly reports to the Board on championing data‑driven strategies and innovation proposals.
The role requires extracting, processing and analysing data to support senior club leadership and a variety of departments in making evidence‑based decisions. A proactive individual who can thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced football environment is essential. The role will also contribute to training, pre‑ and post‑match analysis, and deliver clear performance reports to coaches and players.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in professional football, with a strong understanding of the high‑performance environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a performance analysis or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
