Leeds United are seeking a First Team Opposition Analyst to support tactical preparation, opposition scouting, and performance planning within the club’s First Team analysis department. Working closely with coaches, analysts, and the data department, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality tactical insights using video, data, and telestration tools to inform game plans and match strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead opposition analysis for all First Team fixtures
- Deliver tactical insights through video and telestration tools
- Prepare and present pre‑match opposition reports
- Collaborate with the data department on tactical and performance insights
- Provide live matchday coding and real‑time feedback
- Support half‑time and post‑match analysis workflows
- Maintain databases tracking opposition trends and tactical patterns
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in professional football analysis
- Strong tactical understanding of elite football
- Proficiency in Sportscode, Wyscout, Studio and presentation software
- Experience working with performance data and dashboards
- Ability to communicate actionable insights clearly to coaches and players
- Degree in Performance Analysis, Sport Science or related field
- UEFA B Licence (or working towards)
