Lead Performance Analyst | Varsity Nine
Varsity Nine are seeking a Lead Performance Analyst to lead the delivery of performance analysis across their expanding football ecosystem, supporting academy players, US college scholarship pathways, showcase events, international programmes, and aspiring professional footballers.
Based primarily in Milton Keynes, with additional delivery at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre, this is a unique opportunity to combine elite performance analysis, recruitment intelligence, and player development within one of Europe's fastest-growing football development organisations.
- Performance Analysis & Player Development
- Lead performance analysis across showcase events, combines, tours, and competitive fixtures
- Produce professional scouting reports, player profiles, highlight packages, and recruitment videos to support US College scholarship opportunities
- Develop individual player performance profiles covering technical, tactical, physical, and psychological attributes
- Monitor player KPIs and maintain detailed performance reports suitable for recruitment and progression discussions
- Support the ongoing development of professional and aspiring professional players through objective analysis and feedback
- Collaborate with coaching, recruitment, and placement teams to maximise player outcomes
- Football & Education Programme
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of performance analysis across the Football & Education Programme
- Develop and maintain professional analysis workflows, coding standards, reporting structures, and operational processes
- Deliver training and match analysis, player reports, tactical reviews, and opposition analysis
- Support coaches with performance feedback and player development planning
- Help establish a high-performance analytical culture across all football programmes
- Recruitment & Showcase Events
- Lead all video operations and analysis workflows during showcase events and international tours
- Produce professional scouting reports for internal recruitment and external college or club stakeholders
- Create high-quality highlight reels and recruitment profile videos
- Deliver live analysis support in fast-paced event environments
- Assist with identifying players who align with Varsity Nine's recruitment profile and development pathway
- Operations & Innovation
- Manage analysis equipment, video storage systems, databases, and coding workflows
- Research and implement new technologies, software, and analytical processes
- Support delivery across national and international tournaments, showcases, and football tours
- Work collaboratively with marketing teams to support player content and promotional media
- Contribute to the organisation's long-term technical and operational development

- Degree in Performance Analysis, Football Analytics, Sports Data Science, or a related discipline
- Experience working within football performance analysis, scouting, or recruitment environments
- Experience using analysis platforms such as Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Veo, Metrica, or similar software
- Strong video editing and match coding skills
- Ability to create professional player highlight packages and analytical reports
- Excellent communication skills when working with players, coaches, scouts, and parents
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and internationally
- Full UK Driving Licence

- UEFA Coaching Qualifications
- Professional or semi-professional football playing, coaching, or scouting experience
- Experience with statistical analysis, dashboards, and performance visualisation
- Knowledge of the US College recruitment and scholarship system
- Experience supporting live match analysis and fast‑turnaround reporting
- Leadership potential to progress into a future Head of Analysis or Technical Operations role
