Cardiff City Football Club are recruiting an Academy Performance Analyst to lead the analysis provision for their U16 age group, while providing support to other Academy teams when required.
The Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the U16 analysis programme, including pre- and post-match preparation, training and feedback workflows, match analysis and collaboration with coaching and support staff.
This is a strong opportunity for an aspiring or developing analyst to take ownership of analysis within a professional football Academy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Film all U16 home fixtures and selected away matches.
- Provide detailed post-match video and statistical analysis to coaches and players.
- Support player Individual Development Plans (IDPs) through video and statistical feedback.
- Maintain and update the Academy's Hudl video library and statistical databases.
- Participate in pre- and post-match meetings with coaches and players.
- Work closely with coaching and analysis staff to align analysis with the Academy's key player-development metrics.
What They're Looking For
- Enhanced DBS Certificate.
- Relevant university BSc degree.
- Experience working within an elite sporting environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Adaptability within a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- UEFA C Coaching Licence.
- Experience within a football Academy.
- Knowledge of analysis and presentation platforms including Hudl Sportscode, Wyscout, Spiideo, Excel, Keynote and PowerPoint.
