JOB OVERVIEW
Our client, an Art Advisory, is looking for a Sales & Research Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough and scholarly art market and art historical research
- Liaising with scholars, academics, and curators to inform secondary market research
- Researching relevant contacts and securing meetings for the Directors
- Monitoring the market activities of specific artists and presenting new artists for consideration
- Compiling gallery previews ahead of fairs and exhibitions
- Maintaining relationships with gallery representatives and attending events and openings
- Writing catalogue notes and producing sales proposals
- Composing and delivering internal and client-facing presentations
- Developing and delivering prospective project and exhibition proposals
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Confident go-getter with sophisticated art historical knowledge
- Passion for contemporary art and the art market
