JOB OVERVIEW

Our client, an Art Advisory, is looking for a Sales & Research Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough and scholarly art market and art historical research
  • Liaising with scholars, academics, and curators to inform secondary market research
  • Researching relevant contacts and securing meetings for the Directors
  • Monitoring the market activities of specific artists and presenting new artists for consideration
  • Compiling gallery previews ahead of fairs and exhibitions
  • Maintaining relationships with gallery representatives and attending events and openings
  • Writing catalogue notes and producing sales proposals
  • Composing and delivering internal and client-facing presentations
  • Developing and delivering prospective project and exhibition proposals

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Confident go-getter with sophisticated art historical knowledge
  • Passion for contemporary art and the art market
