We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Technical Design Manager for our growing team at Grove Developments, which is part of the Arora Group. Experts in the Commercial and Hospitality sectors, you will work on a vast portfolio of large-scale projects.
This role will be fully office based at the Arora Group Head Office in the Heathrow airport area.
You will be fully responsible for the delivery of technical drawing packages, working directly with the architectural design team. Your responsibilities will also include implementing the relevant project plans for BIM delivery and ensuring all items of the project are delivered on time. So if you are technically driven, proficient in Revit, and have a passion for BIM, this is the role for you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work with the Lead Architect on all design development, responsible for the technological design from concept to completion.
- Responsible for all technical detailing of the project (demonstrable experience in the delivery of technical drawing packages).
- Assist the Lead Architect with all material and construction systems to meet original design intent.
- Writing and collating NBS specifications with the Lead Architect.
- Coordinating with sub consultants on all drawing packages.
- Review all drawing packages ensuring drawings and documentation are carefully coordinated with sub consultants prior to submissions.
- Ensure all sub consultants review and agree to the programme of deliverables.
- Coordinate design team meetings with the relevant sub consultants.
- Responsible for meeting with local authorities and expediently processing submissions with any problems alerted to Senior Management.
Skills & Experiences
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Recognised Degree in Architectural Technology.
- Registered with CIAT.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in an Architectural Practice.
- Full proficiency using Revit and Navisworks.
- UK experience essential (All RIBA work stages) with an in-depth understanding of UK Building Regulations and current BIM Standards.
- Specialist in RIBA 3-5.
- Experience in large-scale projects is highly advantageous.
- NBS spec writing and experience using NBS Create.
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all team members.
