Theale Medical Centre is recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic Dispensary Assistant/Dispenser to join our friendly practice dispensary team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, patient-focused, and able to work well in a busy clinical environment.
Main duties of the job:
- Dispense medications accurately and safely in line with practice protocols.
- Process repeat and acute prescription requests.
- Handle patient queries by phone, in person, and via clinical tasks.
- Provide advice and support to patients within scope of practice.
- Take payments for private prescriptions and dispensed items.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and checking deliveries.
- Support Prescription Management activities, ensuring safe and timely workflow.
- Support Medicines Reconciliation and Docman processing (adding/amending medications under guidance).
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all dispensary processes meet legal and clinical governance standards.
