Established almost 200 years ago in the North Yorkshire market town of Masham, this family‑controlled brewing company is famous for the quality of its beers and, in particular, for the legendary Old Peculier. We are looking for experienced sales professionals who love building brand distribution, share our passion for great beer, and believe that on‑trade success is built on close, supportive customer relationships. The Role
Working with our route‑to‑market partners in the free trade and pub companies, you will expand and retain our distribution base across a portfolio that includes:
- Theakston Brewery’s iconic cask and keg ales
- Swinkels UK’s premium international brands – La Trappe, Rodenbach, Bavaria, and Uiltje
- Brennan’s Brewery’s award‑winning Irish Stout
Successful candidates will have excellent knowledge of the ale and beer category and the experience to be a trusted advisor to licensees on how to maximise profitability through great beer quality, ranging, and serve. You will build and value deep relationships with customers, route‑to‑market partners, and Pub Co operations teams; be prepared to go the extra mile to retain customers and have the hunger to enjoy the winning of new distribution for this diverse portfolio.
Key Accountabilities and Outputs
- Building net distribution growth across Theakston, Swinkels, and Brennan’s Brewery portfolios in cask, keg, and packaged beers across all On Trade route‑to‑market channels.
- Ensuring customers are fully supported with issue resolution to retain and strengthen distribution.
- Maximising beer quality through appropriate outlet selection and quality advice/interventions with licensees.
- Supporting the visibility of all brands in‑outlet through effective use of POS materials and activation tools.
- Driving and achieving distribution targets for new product development across the three breweries’ ranges.
- Maintaining broad industry knowledge and category insight to be a trusted advisor to licensees.
