Theaker Joinery Limited is a small bespoke joinery manufacturing company based in Scunthorpe, looking to recruit an experienced bench joiner for an immediate start who is enthusiastic and passionate about producing high quality bespoke joinery products. We have been established for 45 years and completed many bespoke projects within the commercial and domestic sectors, producing windows, doors, staircases, bi-folding doorsets, firedoor sets, bar work, shopfronts and other non-standard joinery.
The role is a full-time position as a bench joiner/woodworking machinist, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm, offering the successful candidate a friendly working environment, offsite parking and a variety of bespoke projects.
Essential:- Must have 10+ yearsβ experience within bench joinery and wood machining.
- Level 3 qualified bench joiner.
- Confident and able to operate woodworking machinery including spindle moulders, saws, planners, thicknesser, and sanding equipment.
- Carry out traditional bench joinery β setting out, assembling and finishing timber components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Attention to detail.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Previous experience with the use and understanding of CNC machining.
- SSSTS or CSCS qualified, however training can be provided.
The successful candidate should be able to problem solve, be comfortable working independently and within a team, and may have occasional site works (UK only) for fitting of our own manufactured joinery products. An awareness of health and safety is required. The candidate should be reliable, fit and able, and a good timekeeper. Basic hand tools are required; everything else will be provided.
