We are seeking an exceptional General Manager for our BLE Smoke and Fire Curtains operation, based in Sheffield.
The Fire Safety Division designs, sources, supplies, installs and maintains fire and smoke curtains in the business-to-business sector.
The division is currently made up of three companies, one of which is BLE Smoke and Fire Curtains Ltd.
The business designs and manufactures gravity fail-safe smoke and fire curtains that offer the latest in electronic technology and product certification, making its products the first choice with designers, architects and engineers.
With a clear growth strategy now established, new products released to the market and a strong pipeline, the business is in a very strong position for continued growth.
As General Manager, your focus will be on executing this strategy at pace.
Your objectives will include providing oversight and support for the business; maximising revenue in current and new markets; contributing to the development and launch of new products; ensuring strong alignment with distributor partners; maximising margins; and enhancing the BLE brand.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, commercially-minded leader to develop their strategic and general management capability, working closely with the Group Managing Director.
Your responsibilities will include
- Continuing to develop and execute a strategy for profitable growth for the business, with the Group Managing Director;
- Implementing this strategy in a clear, cohesive and decisive manner across all departments;
- Setting and achieving annual budgets;
- Ensuring timely, accurate and monthly reporting on the performance of the business to the Group Managing Director;
- Developing and maintaining a capable and effective management team;
- Ensuring the development of excellent customer and supplier relationships.
You are likely to be an established Sales Director or senior commercial leader within a comparable manufacturing or construction-related business, ready to take the step up into your first General Management role, with extensive experience of selling into the construction sector at specification stage.
