The Agency is working with a well-established engineering business supplying high-quality components to a range of demanding industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Engineering Planner / Purchasing Coordinator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys planning, purchasing and working closely with production to ensure materials, capacity and manufacturing schedules run efficiently.
The Role
Working closely with production, engineering and suppliers, you'll be responsible for planning manufactured parts, coordinating purchasing activities and supporting the smooth flow of work through the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan manufacturing requirements and production schedules.
- Raise, issue and monitor purchase orders.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries.
- Support supplier performance and relationship management.
- Review material requirements using MRP systems.
- Assist with methods of manufacture and part creation processes.
- Work closely with production to ensure capacity planning is maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise excess inventory.
- Update manufacturing and purchasing systems accurately.
- Support continuous improvement across planning and purchasing activities.

- Previous experience within a manufacturing, production planning or purchasing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience planning engineered components or manufactured parts.
