We're recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser to join a well-established, growing business where you'll play a key role in ensuring customer orders run smoothly from placement through to delivery. This is far more than an administration role. You'll be the link between customers, suppliers, sales, imports and the warehouse, keeping everyone informed, managing expectations and making sure contracts progress exactly as they should.

If you're someone who enjoys spinning lots of plates, solving problems before they become problems and takes real pride in delivering exceptional customer service, you'll fit right in.

What you'll be doing

  • Take ownership of customer contracts from the moment an order is received, ensuring every stage is managed accurately, efficiently and professionally.
  • Process customer orders and contracts accurately.
  • Raise purchase orders and maintain internal systems and customer portals.
  • Manage contracts from order placement through to delivery, ensuring critical deadlines are achieved.
  • Work closely with suppliers, customers and internal departments to keep everyone updated on progress.
  • Liaise with the sales team to provide accurate lead times and manage customer expectations.
  • Monitor contracts, identifying shortages or over-production and resolving issues quickly.
  • Coordinate with import and warehouse teams to ensure stock is received and dispatched on time.
  • Ensure pricing is accurate to enable correct customer invoicing.
  • Spot potential sales opportunities and feed them back to the sales team.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the business.
  • Support continuous improvements to processes and always look for ways to improve efficiency.

What we're looking for

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are quite the same. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience within a merchandising, customer service, supply chain, sales support or contract administration role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to solve problems and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using business systems.
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and work independently while remaining a valued member of the wider team.

What you'll get

  • A varied role where no two days are the same.
  • The opportunity to work with customers and suppliers across a diverse product range.
  • A supportive team who genuinely work together.
  • A stable, well-established business with a great reputation.
