This is an opportunity to step into a high-profile planning role working on culturally relevant music and entertainment brands, with real exposure across planning, buying and client leadership. Sitting within a hybrid planning and activation model, the role offers genuine ownership, strong client visibility, and the chance to broaden your skillset across digital, paid social and storytelling - all within the UK’s largest independent, freedom-led media agency.
This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, covering a team member on sabbatical, sitting at Account Manager / Senior Account Manager level. You’ll be supporting a range of music and entertainment clients, working closely with planning leads and senior planners across the patch.
The team operates a hybrid planning and buying model. Planners here are involved in both planning and activation, and are expected to engage in client conversations rather than working purely behind the scenes. As a result, the role suits either a planner looking to build confidence with platforms and buying, or a digital / paid social buyer who wants to step up on planning, presentation and client ownership.
Day to day, you’ll support planning leads with the development of media plans and responses, using industry tools, client data and insight to shape recommendations. You’ll coordinate channel plans, manage timelines, and ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly across set-up, reporting, optimisation and reconciliation.
The work is heavily digital-led, with a strong focus on paid social and some display. You’ll be involved in planning and buying activity across platforms such as Meta, TikTok and YouTube, as well as outdoor, working closely with agency partners where required. You’ll also monitor campaign delivery and performance, pull regular insights from digital platforms, and contribute to optimisation conversations as campaigns evolve.
Given the nature of the clients, you’ll spend time understanding different artists, audiences and fan behaviours, and how paid media can be used to reach both existing and potential fans. You’ll be encouraged to contribute your thinking in client and internal meetings, and to build strong working relationships with specialist channel teams across the agency.
The role also plays a central part in keeping accounts running well - managing multiple campaigns at once, maintaining accurate plans and schematics, supporting finance processes, and ensuring reporting and documentation are clear, accurate and up to date. Organisation and attention to detail really matter here.
We’d love to talk to you if…
- you’ve worked in a planning, digital or paid social role and are comfortable juggling multiple campaigns and deadlines
- you’re confident communicating your thinking and happy contributing in client and internal meetings
- you have a digital-first mindset, ideally with experience or interest in paid social
- you’re organised, detail-focused, and comfortable taking ownership of your work
- you’re keen to broaden your skillset — whether that’s building planning confidence or developing buying and platform knowledge
You don’t need to be perfect at everything. What matters most is curiosity, clarity of thought, and a willingness to learn.
