As a Paid Social Manager, you’ll take senior ownership of paid social across large, performance-driven accounts, including complex, high-volume clients spanning retail, finance and upper-funnel activity. Sitting within a newly merged activation function, the role offers genuine autonomy, early exposure to paid search, and the opportunity to help shape how paid social operates within a more integrated performance model. You’ll be trusted to stabilise and grow inherited accounts quickly, act as a senior voice within your patch, and support junior team members and offshore delivery where needed - all while delivering against ambitious commercial and performance outcomes at the UK’s largest independent media agency.

The role involves owning the day-to-day delivery of best-in-class paid social campaigns, bringing strong full-funnel performance experience to every stage - from brief through activation to optimisation and analysis. Working closely with a Paid Social Account Director, PPC leadership and the wider activation team, you’ll independently develop smart, data-driven strategies that deliver against client objectives while pushing paid social maturity forward. You’ll build confident client relationships, present clear POVs, and operate comfortably beyond channel silos - particularly as paid social and paid search continue to integrate.

This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, variety and responsibility, and who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and account leadership.

Core responsibilities:
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trusted relationships and responding effectively to both planned and ad-hoc needs.
  • Independently manage day-to-day account delivery, drawing on wider team expertise where appropriate and mentoring junior team members.
  • Present performance updates, insights and recommendations with confidence, demonstrating strong industry and platform knowledge.
  • Support the development and delivery of paid social roadmaps, with a clear focus on performance and maturity.
  • Identify opportunities to add value through specialist paid social expertise.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accurate, error-free documentation and outputs.
  • Develop and deliver effective media plans aligned to client objectives, budgets, audiences and platforms.
  • Activate and optimise campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest and others, using advanced features, tools and partners to maximise performance and ROI.
  • Monitor and optimise campaigns against agreed KPIs, producing accurate reporting to inform decision-making.
  • Identify and leverage new opportunities, including platform updates, betas and testing opportunities.
  • Design and run tests with clear hypotheses, robust measurement frameworks and documented learnings.
  • Use agency reporting solutions to create clear, customised outputs aligned to client and agency standards.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of paid social within the broader performance and digital strategy, selecting appropriate KPIs to drive business outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with media partners and stay close to industry trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with paid search, planning and specialist teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
  • Support team delivery by managing workload effectively and delegating where appropriate, including working with offshore resource.
  • Share knowledge on paid social best practice, emerging technologies and industry developments.
  • Contribute to wider agency initiatives including performance excellence, process improvement, training and continuous learning.

A bit about you: We’d love to talk to you if you bring strong, hands-on paid social experience across major platforms, with a proven ability to manage performance-driven accounts and deliver results through thoughtful strategy and detail-driven execution.
