We’re looking for an SEO Manager to work on a leading ecommerce brand, helping to drive organic growth across technical SEO, content, site architecture, performance reporting and emerging search opportunities. This role would suit someone confident delivering day-to-day SEO activity, comfortable speaking with clients and stakeholders, and able to translate technical SEO recommendations into clear, commercially focused actions. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, managing priorities, delivering audits and recommendations, and working closely with wider teams. You’ll also help the brand adapt to the evolving search landscape, including AI Overviews, AI-assisted discovery and changing ecommerce search behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day SEO activity for a leading ecommerce brand, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and aligned to business objectives.
- Lead technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, structured data, page speed and Core Web Vitals.
- Identify organic growth opportunities across ecommerce categories, product pages, landing pages and supporting content areas.
- Support keyword research, content gap analysis, SERP analysis and on-page optimisation recommendations.
- Work closely with developers and internal teams to brief, prioritise and follow up on technical SEO fixes.
- Review ecommerce site structures including category pages, product pages, filters, faceted navigation and internal linking.
- Produce clear SEO reporting and commentary, turning performance data into useful insights and actions.
- Monitor organic performance using tools including Google Search Console, GA4, SEOmonitor, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Semrush, Ahrefs, ContentKing or similar.
- Manage client and stakeholder communication including meetings, updates, actions and recommendations.
- Support SEO strategy development connecting technical improvements with commercial outcomes.
- Monitor developments in AI search including AI Overviews, AI-assisted shopping journeys and changing user behaviour.
- Identify opportunities to improve visibility in AI-led search experiences through structured content, entity optimisation, schema and information architecture.
- Review SEO recommendations through both traditional search and AI discoverability lenses.
- Support insight around how AI-driven search changes may impact visibility, CTR and ecommerce performance.
Skills and Experience Required
- Strong technical SEO knowledge including crawling, indexing, redirects, canonicals, structured data, internal linking, page speed and site architecture.
- Experience working with ecommerce websites including category pages, product pages, filters, faceted navigation and larger site structures.
- Good account or stakeholder management experience.
- Confidence presenting SEO recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using SEO and analytics platforms.
- Ability to prioritise work based on impact, effort and commercial value.
- Experience translating SEO audits into practical recommendations.
- Comfortable working with developers, content teams, analytics teams and performance media teams.
- Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader strategic view.
- A proactive and organised approach.
- Understanding of how structured data, content quality and entity signals support AI-led search visibility.
- Interest in testing and learning around AI search and emerging search behaviour.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of CRO, UX and SEO’s role in conversion.
- Experience using AI tools for SEO workflows and analysis.
- Understanding of how SEO and PPC work together.
About You
You enjoy getting into the detail but can explain it in simple language. You do not just identify SEO issues, you know how to turn them into action.
