OVERVIEW: The Senior Operations Manager will support the delivery of high-profile NFL International activations on behalf of AMEX, playing a key role in the planning, coordination, and on-the-ground execution of multi-market experiential projects. Working closely with the Senior Operations & Production Director, this role will take ownership of core production workstreams, ensuring seamless operational delivery across international markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in sports and live event environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate suppliers, and contribute to best-in-class fan experiences.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Project Planning & Pre-Production: Support the development and delivery of large-scale activations from planning through to execution; Assist in building detailed production plans, including timelines, run of show, logistics planning, and staffing requirements; Coordinate key production elements such as event structures, branding, signage, and technical delivery; Contribute to the creation and ongoing refinement of production documentation, playbooks, and operational frameworks; Support international planning requirements, including permits, visas, licenses, and freight coordination.
- Production & On-Site Delivery: Act as a key on-site production lead, managing specific workstreams and coordinating suppliers and stakeholders; Oversee local production elements including print, fabrication, and technical installations; Support live event delivery, including production office management, schedule coordination, and real-time troubleshooting; Ensure smooth delivery across build, live, and de-rig phases, maintaining high standards of execution; Work closely with senior leadership to escalate issues where necessary and implement solutions efficiently.
- Budget & Commercial Support: Support the development, tracking, and reconciliation of project budgets, including ownership of smaller budget areas and workstreams; Assist in managing larger budgets ($2M+), ensuring accurate tracking of costs and adherence to scope; Maintain awareness of scope, identifying potential scope creep and supporting the delivery of efficiencies; Coordinate supplier quotes, purchase orders, and budget documentation with a high level of accuracy.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Build and manage strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners across multiple markets; Support onboarding processes and ensure all suppliers meet required standards for delivery, compliance, and quality; Act as a reliable point of contact for internal teams and external partners, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Health & Safety & Compliance: Support the implementation of health & safety processes and compliance across all event delivery; Assist in ensuring all event infrastructure and operations meet local regulatory requirements; Maintain a proactive approach to risk management, identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Team Collaboration & Development: Work collaboratively across production, account, and wider agency teams to deliver integrated solutions; Provide guidance and support to junior team members, interns, and event staff to ensure successful delivery; Contribute positively to team culture, demonstrating a proactive, solutions focused mindset.

WHAT YOU NEED: 6–8 years’ experience in operations and production within experiential and sports industries; A focus on live event build; Proven experience supporting delivery of large-scale events and activations, ideally across multiple markets; Experience managing event infrastructure, production elements, and on-site delivery; Working knowledge of budget management, including ownership of budgets up to $500k and contribution to larger budgets ($2M+); Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance within live event environments; Experience working internationally and adapting to different market requirements; Willingness and availability to travel for site visits over the summer months and on-the-ground delivery; Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
