We are currently looking for an Assistant, Client Accounting. This role is primarily responsible for assisting the client accounting coordinators to ensure the process of settling the financial aspects of our clients' tours are done smoothly and efficiently. This role would be ideal for an individual who is looking to take the next step in their long term development of an accounting career in the live music industry.
Roles & Responsibilities- Assisting with maintaining and reconciling Client (Artist) accounts on Sage 200
- Preparing tour settlement statements for multiple agents
- Handling payments to artists in various currencies
- Mailing out and filing artist statements and commission invoices
- Raising commission invoices on a weekly basis
- Weekly reconciliation of artist ledgers
- Allocating artist payments on bespoke CRM
- Ensuring correct application of withholding taxes, FEU, and VAT
- Weekly commission currency exchange rates added to bespoke CRM
- Handling refunds to promoters and telephone verifying bank details
- Reviewing bank receipts allocations on bespoke CRM
- Reviewing work carried out by junior members of staff
- Provide cover for colleagues when on holiday
- Assisting with cashbook and bank reconciliation on Sage 200 & CRM
- Assisting with the Month End Reporting
- Assisting Senior Client Accountants with individual show credit control
- Other Ad hoc tasks
- Experience with live events/touring experience desirable but not essential
- Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Prior experience of Microsoft Office and accounting software
- Impeccable communication skills (oral, interpersonal, and written)
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
- Must be able to effectively perform tasks in a fast-paced working environment
