Responsibilities
- Restock spirits, wines, beers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar essentials throughout service.
- Prepare and maintain ice wells, garnish stations, mixers, and back-bar displays.
- Assist bartenders with basic prep work (cutting garnishes, refilling syrups, preparing juices).
- Ensure bar area, service stations, storage areas, and equipment remain clean, organised, and safe.
- Collect and wash glassware promptly; polish glasses where required.
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling, ensuring compliance with hotel recycling procedures.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety regulations.
- Support stock rotation (FIFO), checking dates and product quality.
- Refill fridges and maintain stock presentation standards.
- Report low stock or equipment issues to the manager promptly.
- Assist with deliveries, stock counts, and inventory where required.
- Help deliver water, snacks, or simple items to guests during busy periods (if trained and authorised).
- Maintain a calm, professional presence during peak service, supporting the wider team.
- Communicate effectively with bartenders and floor staff to keep service flowing smoothly.
