The Youth Education Service is working with an Alternative Provision school in Liverpool, supporting primary-aged pupils with SEN, SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties. We are looking for a Primary SEN Teacher to start in September. This is a 10-12 week temp-to-perm role, with the successful teacher paid from their current scale point from day one, plus SEN 1 allowance. You will be teaching primary-aged pupils in a structured and supportive Alternative Provision setting, delivering engaging lessons that are adapted to individual needs. This role would suit a Primary Teacher with SEN experience, strong behaviour management, or a genuine interest in moving into Alternative Provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging primary lessons.
- Adapt teaching to meet individual pupil needs.
- Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD, and additional learning difficulties.
- Create a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to support pupil engagement.
