The Role
The creation of the Director of Business Development position offers an unrivalled opportunity to support our growth and expansion. You will lead our next stage of development by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, forging relationships with commissioners, housing providers and other key partners, and overseeing bids and tendering processes. You will be a member of the thriving Leadership Team, building our capacity, developing strong internal and external relationships, and driving our future direction.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and funding streams.
- Forge relationships with commissioners, housing providers, and other key partners.
- Oversee bids and tendering processes, including proposal development and submission.
- Lead the development and implementation of effective supported living, housing‑based, and community services.
- Maintain strong processes and continuous learning while focusing on outcomes and financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic direction and achieve key business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a business development leader in housing, social care, community or related sectors.
- Demonstrable experience in lead‑to‑bid lifecycle: identification, development, bid writing, and final submission.
- Expert knowledge of tendering processes, contract negotiations, and complex proposal development.
- Strong track record of securing new business and driving growth.
- Experience in developing effective supported living or similar services is desirable.
- Excellent process orientation with a focus on outcomes and targets.
