Salary: £26,490 (salary will be pro-rated for Part Time)
Mileage paid at 45p per mile up to 10,000 miles and paid at 25p per mile thereafter as per HMRC guidelines
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time and Part Time Hours can be considered

YOU is a registered charity that has been providing care, support and advice for over 30 years to vulnerable people, working across Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex, Wiltshire, Somerset and the Isle of Wight to give them the tools and resources they need to live independent, secure and valued lives.
Essential Criteria:
- Car Driver with access to a vehicle for work, business insurance and be prepared to travel to work across Portsmouth postcode PO1 to PO6
- Able to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays according to the needs of those we work with.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Understand and promoting independence
- Understand the needs of vulnerable people/people with a learning disability
- Good communication skills: verbal, non-verbal, and written
The role of the Support Worker is to provide excellent and flexible person-centred support across Portsmouth in line with YOU’s values at all times. The role is multi-faceted and includes:
- Time-limited enablement support to help someone learn a new skill in their own home or the community
- Community-based support where small groups of people will be supported to access volunteering, occupational, social and leisure activities
- Homecare where individuals could be supported with personal care, housing support, budgeting, social and daily living activities and emotional support
