Female Health Advocate Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: £31,757.10 (£34,332pa FTE) Permanent, Part Time (37 hours per week)

Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualification or equivalent to Diploma/Degree/NVQ 4 or equivalent work level experience
- Experience of supporting women, men and children who have been subject to domestic violence and abuse
- Experience of effective multi-agency and partnership working, person-centered service delivery and enabling client involvement
- Knowledge of best practice in relation to domestic violence and abuse in health settings and of the function of the MARAC
- Skilled at effective crisis resolution
The Role:
You will work closely with health colleagues and GPs, sharing knowledge and skills to improve referral processes into existing commissioned services, leading to increased referrals. You will carry a caseload and work directly with victims of domestic violence and abuse, receiving referrals across all risk categories, with a focus on medium and high-risk cases. You will utilise existing services and referral pathways for standard-risk clients.
About You:
- You will be experienced in effective multi-agency and partnership working.
- You will deliver trauma-informed, person-centred services, enabling client involvement.
- You will have knowledge of best practice in relation to domestic violence and abuse in health settings and of the function of MARAC.
- You will have knowledge of civil and criminal remedies and the legal system as it relates to those experiencing domestic abuse.
- You will have knowledge of the dynamics and impact of domestic abuse and how best to support victims and survivors.
- You will be skilled in effective crisis resolution.
- You will be proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- You will be able to effectively manage and prioritise your own caseload.
