Overview
Female Support Worker – Enablement New Forest
Roles available in Hythe, Totton, Lymington, New Milton, Ringwood, Fordingbridge and surrounding areas
Salary: £12.34 per hour (Mon – Fri) to £15.43 per hour (Sat & Sun) – £25,664 Per Annum FTE
Mileage paid at 45p per mile up to 10,000 miles and paid at 25p per mile thereafter as per HMRC guidelines
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time and Part Time Hours can be considered
Closing Date: The first suitable applicants will be appointed
Must have a driving license and access to a car for work use
This role is only open to female applicants
Essential Criteria
The ideal Support Worker will:
- Car Driver with access to a vehicle for work, business insurance and be prepared to travel to work across Hampshire when required.
- Able to work shifts including evenings, weekends and bank holidays according to the needs of those we work with.
- Experience of working with vulnerable people
- Understand and promoting independence
- Understand the needs of vulnerable people/people with a learning disability
- Good communication skills: verbal, non verbal, and written
The Role
The role of the Support Partner is to provide excellent and flexible person centred support across Hampshire in line with YOU’s values at all times. The role is multi-faceted role and includes time limited enablement support to help someone learn a new skill in their own home or the community; community based support where small groups of people will be supported to access volunteering, occupational, social and leisure activities; homecare where individuals could be supported with personal care, housing support, budgeting, social and daily living activities and emotional support.
