We are looking for a talented Middleweight Interior & Experience Designer to join our growing team on a fulltime, permanent basis.

This role is suited to a designer with at least 3 years' industry experience working across retail, hospitality and F&B environments, whether for established brands or founder-led businesses.

You will have a strong design eye, excellent 3D visualisation skills and the ability to develop ideas from concept through to implementation.

At TYC, we help brands make braver decisions and bring them to life across lifestyle, culture and placemaking.

Driven by evidence and insight, we create brands and experiences that people feel, not just see.

As part of our interiors team, you will contribute to projects spanning retail stores, hospitality concepts, food and beverage environments, pop-ups, activations and experiential destinations.

About you

You are a curious, creative and commercially minded designer who understands how physical environments influence customer behaviour and brand perception.

You will be passionate about emerging trends, materials, technology and culture, actively seeking inspiration from the worlds of retail, hospitality, design and consumer experience.

You will be equally comfortable with freehand sketching, hands-on design development and the use of digital tools to bring ideas to life.

You'll embrace AI-powered creative and productivity tools to support research, concept generation, visualisation and workflow efficiency, whilst understanding that great design is driven by human insight, creativity and critical thinking.

Curious by nature, you will continually challenge yourself, the brief and conventional thinking to uncover new opportunities and stronger solutions.

You understand how emerging technologies can enhance creative output and project delivery while maintaining a rigorous, design-led approach.

You will be confident working independently while also collaborating closely with Directors and senior team members.

Most importantly, you will be eager to learn, take ownership and contribute positively to our creative culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and present creative concepts for retail, hospitality and experiential projects.
  • Create compelling 3D visualisations, spatial layouts and customer experience journeys.
  • Develop concepts through to detailed design and technical delivery.
  • Produce detailed design intent drawing packages, specifications and technical information to support contractor pricing, fabrication and project implementation.
  • Produce high-quality presentations, mood boards and design rationale.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops and site visits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and specialist consultants where required.
  • Support project rollout and implementation across multiple locations.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, innovations, materials and technologies.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within an interior design, architectural or experiential design studio.
  • Proven experience delivering retail, hospitality and F&B projects for established or founder-led brands.
  • Experience designing branded environments, customer journeys and experiential touchpoints.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, storytelling and customer experience design skills.
  • Excellent space planning, design development and detailing ability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to translate creative concepts into robust and commercially viable design solutions.
  • Strong 3D modelling, rendering and visualisation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Vectorworks including Renderworks, and/or similar rendering and visualisation software.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills.
  • Excellent technical design and detailing skills, with the ability to produce comprehensive design intent drawing packages that enable contractors and suppliers to accurately interpret and bring design concepts to life on site.
  • Experience producing construction information, specifications and design documentation to a high professional standard.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, manufacturing processes and current industry innovations.
  • Experience using AI-powered design, visualisation and productivity tools to support research, concept generation, workflow efficiency and presentation development.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Confident in client-facing situations, workshops, presentations and site visits.
  • Strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail.
  • Location & Working Pattern

Applicants must be based within a commutable distance of London.

We operate a hybrid working model, with team members expected to work from our London studio a minimum of three days per week, alongside client meetings and site visits as required.
