The Yard Creative is seeking a remarkable Brand Design Graduate to join our integrated team of curious creatives and strategists, collaborating with our clients to find their edge.

You will support the creative teams in delivering evidence-led, strategic brand, experience and experiential work for our clients, backed by solid skills in graphic, motion, and digital design. You will be filled with curiosity and creativity, with the ability to think differently and innovate beyond the norm. Your primary responsibility each week will be to lead the in-house creative for all marketing and social media content.

Alongside this, the graduate must be willing to work collaboratively with the team, supporting them on multiple projects from both big brands and entrepreneurs, as well as start-ups across various sectors, including lifestyle and consumer brands, FMCG, fintech, Property, and retail. You will work alongside an integrated team of creatives who specialise in research, strategy, brand, UX/UI, and 3D design throughout the lifespan of a project. The person will be expected to produce project deliverables to an exceptionally high standard with guidance from the more senior members of the team.

Roles and responsibilities
  • Generating static and moving content for all social media and marketing activities, based on TYC projects, cultures, insights, and news
  • Supporting the team in scheduling and posting of all social media and marketing activities
  • Generating and posting completed project case studies on the website and in Keynote
  • Building and posting monthly newsletters
Secondary:
  • Generating ideas and supporting the creative director and wider design team
  • Developing graphic design and brand concepts across an array of sectors and projects
  • Design development across print, digital and environmental graphics
  • Art working for print and digital, and supplier liaison (printers and developers)
  • Brand identity rollout, specifically across marketing materials, uniforms and packaging
  • Attending client meetings and taking notes
Specific skills required for the role:
  • Proficient Apple Mac user
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Excellent user of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Excellent use of animation, video and digital software and tools (e.g. After Effects)
  • Excellent use of digital, UX/UI design software and tools (e.g. Figma)
  • Proficient with WordPress and CMS design
  • Experience with Mailchimp newsletter software
  • Excellent idea and concept generation abilities
  • Great sketching and illustration skills
  • Confidence in expressing ideas/presentation skills
  • Actively interested in keeping up to date with trends and technology, with a love for all that’s new and innovative, regularly visiting exhibitions and events
  • Curious mind, can-do attitude, diligent with good time-keeping
