What we are looking for:
- No prior knowledge of autoimmune diseases required.
- An empathetic and understanding attitude.
- A quiet and private space to conduct appointments.
- Access to a computer, telephone or video call device and a reliable internet connection.
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and reliability.
- Monthly commitment: regular attendance twice a month for an initial 12‑month period.

What you will be doing:
- Provide empathetic, non‑judgmental listening support to people with autoimmune diseases, referred to as “Our Wrens”.
- Participate in fortnightly 50‑minute sessions with two separate Wrens via telephone or video call.
- Complete a 4‑week remote training program focused on listening skills and support for autoimmune disease.
- Undergo a one‑to‑one assessment before matching with a Wren.
- Receive ongoing support and opportunities to further develop your listening skills from experienced volunteers, Operations team, and clinical supervisors.
Requirements:
