About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Surveying Technician to join our Property team. We’re looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual who is keen to develop their career within property and surveying services. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have excellent organisational skills, and want to play a key role in improving customers’ homes, we’d love to hear from you.
As an Assistant Surveying Technician, you will support the delivery of planned maintenance and investment programmes, working alongside Building Surveyors and contractors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the delivery and performance of planned maintenance and investment works programmes.
- Assist Building Surveyors in the management and coordination of contracts and projects.
- Contribute to the effective planning and administration of planned repairs and maintenance activities.
- Help ensure works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate activities from the initial receipt of property information through to completion of works, ensuring a positive customer experience throughout.
- Maintain accurate records and update property and housing management systems.
- Liaise with customers, contractors, and colleagues to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Take ownership of individual tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the Property Team.
What we are looking for:
- We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to develop their knowledge and experience within a property services environment.
- Experience supporting the delivery of planned maintenance or investment programmes.
- Experience providing administrative support within a busy, customer-focused environment.
- Experience of working as part of a project team.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- BTEC Level 3 in Construction and the Built Environment or a related qualification.
- Experience working within a construction environment, ideally within social housing.
- Experience using property management, asset management, or housing-related ICT systems.
- Understanding of building components and property maintenance.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance and investment programmes within housing services.

We can offer 25 days holiday (increasing with each year of service, up to a maximum of 31 days), bank holidays and three concessionary days over the Christmas period.
