The role:

Are you passionate about showcasing your cooking skills? We are looking for an Assistant Chef to prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our ShireLiving residents putting a smile on their faces. Our ShireLiving or supported housing facilities provide people over 55 years old a safe, secure, and caring environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will become a key part of the team to deliver catering services to our residents. Our scheme in Whitchurch, Shropshire has 70 apartments that may be single or double occupied.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the day-to-day management of kitchen operations
  • Monitoring stock levels and carrying out inventory checks
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
  • Building positive relationships with residents and visitors
  • Ensuring food hygiene, health and safety, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained
