The Workwear Co. is Northern Ireland’s leading provider of customised workwear, PPE & promotional clothing. We operate in a fast-paced, high-output environment with in‑house embroidery and printing facilities, supplying thousands of garments weekly to customers across the UK and Ireland.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Print Operative to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating printing machinery (DTF, vinyl, heat press, etc.), preparing artwork for print, and ensuring high-quality output across all printed garments
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Direct-to-Film (DTF) printers, vinyl cutters, and heat press equipment.
- Set up and align artwork accurately for each job.
- Ensure print quality and consistency meet company standards.
- Monitor production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Prepare garments for print (positioning, pressing, finishing).
- Troubleshoot basic machine issues and perform routine maintenance.
- Work closely with the design, embroidery, and dispatch teams to meet deadlines.
- Follow health & safety and quality control procedures at all times.
- Experience with DTF, heat press, or garment printing.
- Basic Adobe Photoshop/CorelDRAW or other design software skills.
- Understanding of different fabric types and print techniques.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in a print production or manufacturing environment is preferred but not essential – full training provided.
Good eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
