Our client is a leading provider of advanced electronic security solutions for National and Critical National Infrastructure. They specialise in the design, installation, and maintenance of state-of-the-art systems such as CCTV, intruder detection, access control, and fully integrated security platforms.

This candidate will be responsible for the successful testing, validation, and handover of various security systems after installation. This role ensures that these systems meet the required performance, safety, and functional specifications, as well as comply with relevant industry standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Commissioning and testing CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems, performing functional tests to ensure proper operation and performance against design specifications, troubleshooting and fixing issues, and conducting site-based and remote commissioning.
  • Creating and reviewing test procedures and commissioning plans, producing accurate documentation and reports to NSI standards and client requirements, and maintaining records of activities.
  • Collaborating with project teams and clients, providing technical support, conducting system handovers and training, and acting as a technical point of contact.
  • Ensuring systems comply with industry standards and regulations, verifying installations meet specifications, and adhering to company policies and safety protocols.

Essential skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience in commissioning integrated electronic security systems and strong knowledge of networked systems, IT infrastructure, and integration.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation and using commissioning software is also important.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including clients and technical teams, and good presentation skills for handovers and training.
  • A keen eye for detail is necessary for accurate documentation and validation of system performance.
