Our client is a precision engineering company specializing in the manufacture of high-quality, precision-machined metal components. They work within the aerospace, defence, automotive, oil & gas, and nuclear sectors. They are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who can manage all aspects of manufacturing engineering for our client and coordinate the transfer of work between the group.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing engineering support for all Project Engineers as required for new estimates/quotes
  • Manufacturing engineering support for new product introductions:
  • Generation of manufacturing plan
  • Generation of PFMEA
  • Generation of risk assessment
  • Routings
  • Fixtures and tooling
  • Coordinate and manage the transfer of machining work between our client's businesses
  • Support the facilities requirements including buildings, plant and equipment
  • Support the Engineering, Operations and Quality functions with root cause analysis and problem solving
  • Customer NCR's
  • Supplier quality/delivery issues
  • Support Management System improvements and introductions as required
  • Job Requirements:

    • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
    • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
    • Ability to work proactively with Engineering, Operations and Quality teams.
