Our client based in Bordon, is one of the most well established and leading specialists in their field. They are looking for an efficient Workshop Operative who is keen to work in a stimulating environment at a clean and modern workshop. Willing to learn new skills including operating machinery. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Main Accountabilities
- Operating machinery, including lifting equipment, hand tools and more complex machines once training has been completed.
- Maintain quality through the process and ensure quality checks are completed on handover from the previous station and undertake further quality checks before passing to the next station.
- React to any quality issues by communicating to the Production or Workshop manager or shift leader.
- Undertake rectification and/or additional training and coaching as instructed.
- Work as a team to achieve our daily production targets.
- Attending daily shift ‘huddles' and taking any appropriate action.
- Maintaining work areas and equipment clean, in order and disciplined to comply with the 5S work environment.
- Reporting equipment faults to maintenance officers as required.
- Follow company policies, and H&S standards including wearing PPE to keep yourself and everyone working around you safe.
- Take responsibility for the work quality by following safe working instructions.
